A06B-6164-H364#H580 ¦ biSVSP 80/80/80-18
Fanuc A06B-6164-H364#H580 servo spindle amplifier unit. CNC stock this BETA i series biSVSP 80/80/80-18 combination drive of 3 servo channels and a single 76 amp rated spindle channel with built in power supply unit for powering all the motor channels and regen of the spindle when braking.
This drive is part of the 2nd generation of combo drives from the BETA i series family of 200VAC amplifiers and AC motors. Each axis channel can power a biS22/3000 series motor; with the spindle running a biLP22 rated AC spindle motor. At CNC we have testing and repair capabilites for this 80/80/80-18i amplifier using our 0i-M test system for full three axes and spindle control in closed loop testing.
Occasionally CNC may have surplus to exchange requirement stock available, though normally only exchange stock is available for most of the Fanuc Beta drive series amps.
CNC offer a warranty on all fibre optic Beta A06B6164H364#H580 drives supplied either exchange or if they have been repaired at CNC’s facilities.
Here is a breakdown of what makes this specific biSVSP 80/80/80-18:
Technical Specifications
Second generation integrated amplifier designed for efficiency and space-saving.
- Voltage: 200VAC series of BETA i amplifiers and motors.
- Type: biSVSP (Servo Spindle Multi-Axis Unit).
- Servo Channels: Three axes (80A / 80A / 80A peak current), typically paired with biS22/3000
- Spindle Channel: 76 amp rated output, designed to drive biLP22 model AC spindle motors.
- Power Supply: Built-in (Integrated), meaning it handles the AC-to-DC conversion for all four channels and manages regenerative braking energy.
- Interface: Fiber optic (FSSB) for high-speed communication with the CNC controller.
Common Failure Points
Given the integrated nature of this drive, a failure in one section often halts the entire machine. Keep an eye out for these common issues:
- Alarm 4 & 51 – Due to the compact design or these amplifiers and the massive heat dispersion required things breakdown. Send in for repair or exchange.
- Alarm 20 – Failure due to aging components on the power section. Send in for repair or exchange
- Alarm 8, 9, A – Overcurrent / excess alarm of any of the servo channels. Failure of either control PCB or power section and seldom both. Occasionally this can be a non repairable fault requiring replacement. Initially go for exchange or send in for inspection and repair.
- Alarm 12 – Overcurrent alarm on the spindle section of this amplifier. Many possible casues. Either call to order exchange or ship in for inspection and repair. Ask for an RMA.
See alarms for this series of BETA iSVSP amplifier unit.
Whether CNC supplies biSVSP 80/80/80-18 exchange, surplus or repairs yours its backed by 12 month warranty. Call or email for more details!
CNC tip: When replacing this unit or shipping for inspection or repair. Always backup the control system (fully including SRAM and NCbasic, etc) and check the batteries as you will undoubtely be switching off the control.
- Exchange -> Emergency breakdowns; swap the bad for the good immediately. Order Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30PM to ship same day!
- Repair -> Save money avoid paying deposit, keeping your own unit with known history. Current clean, inspect, repair and test turnaround 24-48 hours (normal).
- Surplus -> Either for stock critical parts or for drives that are not repairable or exchangeable due to burn outs, corrosion, etc.
